Competing in
"Kampen om AF-Kollektivet" and later becoming a part of
AF-Kollektivet 4.0 gave me a lot of possibilities, including a summer internship in 2022.
I met Anastasia Wraa, The Head of Environment in AF Gruppen Management, in the final weekend of the competition. She offered me a summer internship in their section, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), at AF Gruppen's main office at Helsfyr. My job engaged in exploring how digitization and data could help AF Gruppen reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increase their resource efficiency.
Through the summer I mainly assessed data-related aspects of an upcoming climate reporting tool, including data governance, data management, data processing and data visualization. I looked into the construction market to gather information about demands and map best practice within climate reporting. Meeting employees and external people with relevant competence gave me a great introduction and basic knowledge within the data-related aspects. The internship ended with a final presentation, presenting a roadmap of the future data-driven climate initiatives in the construction industry.
